Entry Criteria’s for Masters Programs in USA

Here are the Entry Criteria required for the Masters’ Program in the USA.

In the United States, 16 years of education (12+4) are required.

For all courses except Management, a good GRE and TOEFL/IELTS (English exam for international students) score is required.

For MBA and all other management courses, GMAT and TOEFL/IELTS are required.

Few US universities allow 15 years of study, i.e. 3 years of bachelor’s degree, for entry to master’s programs in computer science, biology, business administration, public health, and other fields through Pathway programs.

Admissions without GRE/GMAT results are feasible, although they are not advised.

The average TOEFL/IELTS score is 79/80 and the IELTS band is 6.5.
A low TOEFL/IELTS score also lowers your chances of getting a visa.
Exam fees are $185 for the GRE, $165 for the TOEFL, and $250 for the GMAT.

Academic performance is valued by US universities, although GRE, GMAT, and TOEFL scores are also taken into account. The extracurricular activities that the student has participated in, as well as the study that the student has done in his particular topic, are also considered. His documents, such as his resume, letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose, are equally critical and must be well-written.

A large number of backlogs has a negative impact on a student’s profile, especially if the backlogs occur in the latter years of school.
