
The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is a computer-based English language proficiency test that is accepted by over 3,300 institutions in more than 70 countries. It is used for a variety of purposes, including:
- Admission to English-speaking universities and colleges
- Migration to English-speaking countries
- Employment in English-speaking countries
- Professional registration









This module tests your ability to understand spoken English. You will be asked to listen to a variety of recordings, such as lectures, conversations, and news broadcasts. You will then be asked questions about what you have heard.
This module tests your ability to understand written English. You will be asked to read a variety of texts, such as academic articles, newspaper articles, and emails. You will then be asked questions about what you have read.
This module tests your ability to write English in a variety of formats. You will be asked to complete a variety of tasks, such as write an essay, a letter, and a report.
This module tests your ability to speak English fluently and effectively. You will be asked to complete a variety of tasks, such as describing images, summarising written text, and giving a short talk.
